WEATHER
Rainy and Dry...
Belize is within Central America and has a Tropical Climate similar to that of neighbouring countries, meaning it is warm, humid and sunny for most of the year. Temperatures typically range from 24°C to 32°C (75°F to 90°F), with coastal areas feeling slightly cooler because of refreshing Caribbean sea breezes, while inland areas are often a little hotter.
The country has two main seasons:
Dry season (approximately February to May): Generally sunny, warm, and less humid making it a perfect time to enjoy waterbased activities such as caves, falls, pools, canoeing, tubing etc.
Rainy season (approximately June to November): Frequent afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms occur, with the heaviest rainfall usually in the south. Despite the rain, it is often warm and sunny for part of the day which still allows for daytime activities with a chance of getting rained on of course, or maybe not.
Belize also lies within the Atlantic hurricane season (June to November), so tropical storms and hurricanes are possible during these months. Although it is a lot more common to get tropical storms than hurricanes.
Overall, Belize's weather is characterized by year-round warmth, high humidity, abundant sunshine, and seasonal rainfall, making it a perfect getaway to experience lush tropical rainforests, coral reefs, and diverse wildlife.
Table Rock Jungle Lodge experiences cooler temperatures than that of neighbouring towns due to our lodge infrastructure and environmental conservancy. Our rooms and common areas were strategically built within the jungle without the need to clear trees, because of this - the jungle canopy soars above most of our lodge and keeps us protected from the sun and its' rays. This combined with the cooler Maya Mountain Foothills keeps the lodge fresh and relatively cooler during the Dry Season, when everywhere else would typically be warmer.
Table Rock Jungle Lodge is also a proud owner of it's very own weather station and it's data been made avaialble to you below, should you want to take a look at what the weather predictions are for the upcoming days. Please keep in mind that in Belize it is very hard to rely on Weather Forecasts as it is everchanging but it does give you a rough idea of what to expect around the area.
